Itinerario

Welcome to Cusco!

Once the capital of the powerful Inca Empire, Cusco is now a vibrant city in the Andes.

Upon arrival, our representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.

Settle in and enjoy a cup of coca tea, a traditional Andean infusion. The rest of the day is yours to relax and acclimate to Cusco’s elevation of approximately 11,000 ft (3,350 m).

La Catedral del Cusco se ve dorada por el sol de la tarde, detrás de los jardines de la plaza. Hay bancas, faroles y gente paseando bajo un cielo con nubes.

A day where breathtaking scenery, local flavors, and centuries of Inca and colonial history come together.

Set out for your exploration of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Travel into the Sacred Valley, framed by dramatic snowcapped peaks and fertile cornfields. Corn is one of the valley’s most important crops – imagine kernels nearly the size of your thumb!

Visit the remarkable Potato Park, where Andean communities preserve an extraordinary agricultural heritage that includes more than 600 varieties of native potatoes. As you travel through the Andes, discover the landscapes where one of the world’s most important crops originated.

Enjoy a traditional lunch at the historic Huayoccari Hacienda, an estate that feels beautifully suspended in time.

A wonderful day to discover Ollantaytambo and enjoy a scenic train journey through the Andes.

By mid-morning, travel to Ollantaytambo, often described as the last Inca living town. This historic site is also where forces led by Manco Inca achieved their first victory over the Spanish.

Enjoy lunch in Ollantaytambo while taking in views of the town’s charming main square.

Continue to the train station and board your journey to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Enjoy a private guided exploration of Machu Picchu and uncover the mysteries of this remarkable Inca city. Learn about its history and its 1911 rediscovery by American sociologist Hiram Bingham as you explore iconic areas such as the Temple of the Sun, the Sanctuary of Mother Earth, the quarries, and the Intihuatana, among others.

Optional hike to Wayna Picchu, one of the sacred mountains surrounding the citadel. Additional cost and subject to availability.

In the afternoon, return to Ollantaytambo.

Upon arrival, continue by private transportation back to Cusco.

Tres viajeros brindan en una mesa de madera, con vasos de chicha y una canasta de pan. En la pared hay instrumentos y una botella grande de vidrio.

This morning, discover the fascinating history, art, and culture of Cusco.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before setting out to explore the city.

Begin the morning with a leisurely walk from Sacsayhuaman.

At this imposing Inca site, discover massive stone blocks weighing up to 200 tons before continuing toward the San Cristobal viewpoint. From there, walk through the picturesque streets of San Blas toward Siete Borreguitos, one of Cusco’s most photographed streets.

Along the way, see the historic water channels of Sapantiana before finishing at Cusco Cathedral, renowned for its extraordinary collection of colonial art. One highlight is Marcos Zapata’s Andean interpretation of The Last Supper, where the meal reflects local tradition with a roasted guinea pig at the table.

La fuente del Inca está en el centro de la Plaza de Armas del Cusco, frente a la iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús. La gente cruza la plaza bajo un cielo azul.

Early in the morning, depart your hotel and travel south of Cusco toward Combapata. Along the way, enjoy beautiful Andean landscapes and the chance to spot local wildlife. Upon arrival, begin a gentle hike through this spectacular section of the mountain range, with privileged views of three colorful mountains visible from the highest point. Your guide will share insights into the landscape while you have time to take memorable photographs and experience Palcoyo Mountain.

After visiting Palcoyo, return to your vehicle and travel approximately one hour to the Checacupe Bridge, a traditional suspension bridge built by Quechua communities to strengthen connections across the Inca Empire. Afterward, enjoy time for lunch and a short rest before continuing back to Cusco.

Until we meet again.

Early in the morning, transfer to the airport for your departure flight to Lima.

End of services.
