The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.

Today, your journey continues toward the legendary Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
By mid-morning, travel to Ollantaytambo, often described as a the last Inca living town. This historic site is also where forces led by Manco Inca achieved their first victory over the Spanish.

Travel by train through the Sacred Valley, then continue into the landscapes of Maras, where salt is still harvested using ancestral traditions.
Board the return train to Ollantaytambo and enjoy a beautiful journey alongside the sacred Urubamba River.
Continue to the Maras Salt Mines, an extraordinary open-air complex formed by more than 4,000 small salt pools, where local families continue to harvest salt using techniques passed down through generations.
Drive along the Vilcanota mountain range with snowcapped peaks in the distance, passing through the town of Maras, known for its colonial streets and carved doorways bearing the coats of arms of noble families and local leaders from the 17th and 18th centuries.
